Shingo Francis participates in a group exhibition "The Unseen Relationship: Form and Abstraction" at Kawamura Memorial DIC Museum of Art. Seven contemporary artists' recent and latest works are exhibited with works of great masters who influenced the 20th century art, such as Monet, Picasso, Braque, Wols and more.

Yoko Matsumoto Solo Exhibition  January 10th - February 4th, 2012
Yoko Matsumoto Solo Exhibition will be held from January 10th as our kicking off show of 2012.
Matsumoto has been quiet for about 3 years. Now, she is ready to reveal her newest paintings.

Also, Matsumoto will participate in a group exhibition, curated by Tokyo Station Gallery.

"Contemporary Painting IV"
Date: December 6, 2011 - March 18, 2012
Place: Old Shimbashi Station- Railway History Exhibition Hall

Tokyo Station Gallery will hold the exhibition which will be divided into two terms,
titled "in those days" as the first term and "in these days" as the second term.
Participating artists will present their past work for the first and their recent
work for the second. Matsumoto will exhibit a pink acrylic painting, executed in
1992 at the first part and a green oil painting, executed in 2009 at the second part.

Enjoy her past paintings at the group show in Shimbashi and see her latest works at
our gallery next year. You would get better understanding of her painting through the
both exhibitions for sure!


2011

Isao Nakamura Solo Exhibition  November 7th - 26th
Painting exhibition by Isao Nakamura will start on November 7th.
This will be the last exhibition of this year, 2011 for hino gallery.
Nakamura's painting radiates its atmosphere beyond the canvas.
The deep color applied in a thick layer and the lines running through the surface
are spreading spatially to the outside of the canvas, however, it still captures
viewers into the painting itself by the impact of the strong image.
Mainly, large-sized works, including 200 sized painting will be exhibited.
Opening reception will be on the 7th at 5pm-. We hope to see you all at our gallery!

Also, Nakamura has one more solo exhibition at Vision's in Ningyo-cho, Tokyo from
November 8th to 26th. 300 sized painting and some other new works will be installed.
You will meet another different paintings by Nakamura. Please go there and check them too!

Tomiyuki Maruyama Solo Exhibition  October 3rd - 22nd
This show was initially scheduled in May but had been postponed due to the
earthquake, happened in March. Now, we are pleased to announce that the
exhibition finally opens on October 3.
Opening reception will be on October 3rd at 5pm-.

Charity Auction to Benefit the Reconstruction after the Great East Japan Earthquake:
Art of Our Time

October 5th - 9th Tokyo Art Club 3F - 4F
The Charity Auction will be held as assistance for the Great East Japan
Earthquake reconstruction at Tokyo Art Club in Shinbashi.
About 400 artists will take part in the Charity Auction.
Work by Kiyoshi Nakagami, Yoko Matsumoto and Keizo Tawa will be listed.
This will be open to anyone. Admission free, no appointment necessary. Please join the event!

Shunji Murai [CHIAROSCURO]  September 5th - 24th
This will be Murai's first solo exhibition in 3 years at hino gallery.
For the show titled "CHIAROSCURO," he will present his latest paintings which are emphasized the contrast between light and dark. He is trying to bring in this expression to his works in an unique way by using canvas, oil and film sheet. About 10 new paintings will be exhibited.
Opening reception will be on Monday, September 5th at 5pm-.

Art Fair Yokyo "May Corridor" May 25 - May 28
hino gallery will participate in the Art Fair Yokyo "May Corridor"
from May 25 to 28 at Yokyo Hall in Ginza.
This fair is organized by 24 galleries which are a member of the Japan Art Dealers Association.
Our gallery will present works by Kiyoshi Nakagami, Yoko Matsumoto and Keizo Tawa.

Shingo Francis is donating his original painting for two charity exhibitions in Tokyo.
'Power of Art Charity Exhibition' at Spiral, and 'Art for Tomorrow' at Tokyo Wonder Site Shibuya.


Extension of the current exhibition

Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone who has been affected by the Tohoku earthquake. We hope that the afflicted area will recover as soon as possible and much safer life will be back to people over there.

Due to the earthquake, we extend the current exhibition, Fumio Takamizawa "tayutai" by a week. Date ended will be on Saturday, April 9th.

Also, the next show, exhibition by Tomiyuki Maruyama will be postponed. We will announce here again once it is rescheduled.

Keizo TAWA Solo Exhibition

Tawa's latest works will be installed. This exhibition is a tie-up project with "Striking Iron --- Keizo TAWA Exhibition", which is now being held at Meguro Museum of Art.
