hino gallery is pleased to present a solo exhibition of the work of Fumio Takamizawa for the first time in two years. Over recent years, the artist has been using photography to capture momentary scenes of lambency on the surface of water. He then projects these images onto canvas, which he then renders in oil paint. The works have gradually become more colorful and intricate, creating a disparate sense of space. This time hino gallery will show the most recent paintings from this series, which might be seen as a development or departure from his earlier work.
